As far as I can tell, this box was the last “monthly: release from Pro Wrestling Crate, moving forward they plan to release 6 boxes in a year, mailed every two months. While it will suck not having my monthly box come in, some of the recent boxes have been somewhat bland as of late, and there are a LOT of repeated wrestlers if one is a long-time subscriber. Hopefully a change like this will elevate the service to the quality of the AEW crate, which generally is an overall better product as a whole. I knew this one would be interesting considering some of the names on the preview list, and while I knew it was unlikely I’d get some of my favorite people in the key products I’d prefer them in, I’d enjoy it nonetheless. I’m a tad late on this, but let’s crack this open and see what’s inside.

As with all of these, a part of the proceeds are donated to charity. These are usually wrestling-related charities, and this one was the “Barry Windham in the ICU” Gofundme, which can be found HERE.

“With deep sadness I regret to inform that my uncle, WWE Hall of Famer, Barry Windham suffered a massive heart attack Friday evening. While traveling through the Atlanta airport, his darkest fear became a horrific reality as he went into cardiac arrest. He is currently in the ICU and has undergone an emergency procedure to save his life. As a family, we are impatiently waiting to hear that he will be okay. But as of now, the future is uncertain.”

For those new to these subscription crates, Pro Wrestling Crate usually packs in anywhere from 7 to 10 items every two months (previously monthly) – these include a guarantee of a Micro Brawler Figurine, two T-shirts, a lapel pin, and an autographed 8 by 10 photo. Usually there’s a couple of small additional items in every box making this well worth the money spent. If you can still do it, I would recommend purchasing a six month or yearly subscription as you get a pretty hefty discount doing so. In the past, I have subscribed to a number of different boxes, generally not liking most of them to be honest, but the guys over at Pro Wrestling Tees always do a fine job of picking great items making this my favorite subscription box of them all. You can also get a double dose of crate action with AEW’s All Elite Crate as well.

This was the announced contents of today’s crate:

Spoiler Card:

Shirts:

I was actually somewhat surprised we got a Mercedes Mone shirt in this box, but I’m all for it. On top of that, Eddie Guerrero was always one of my favorite wrestlers, so the shirt selection in this box was pretty solid. These two designs are fairly low-key so that an uninformed person will likely not know they are wrestling shirts, but the simple designs look classier than some shirts you see, I mean as classy as a logo tee can get I suppose. I’ve worn both of these out and about already and had numerous compliments from people for the Eddie shirt especially, even after people assumed it was a Guns N’ Roses band shirt!

Autograph:

As a big old-school ECW fan, Justin Credible was always a guy that seemed overlooked by many, a fact that was especially true when he eventually landed in WWE. Solid choice for an autograph, which will look great in my collection for sure.

Micro Brawler:

I already have the previous Ricky “The Dragon” Steamboat Brawler (the dragon costume one), so getting him in what many would consider his bet attire is a great choice. No chase this month, but I guess we can’t always have that lucky draw every time.

Socks:

Sigh – I am sometimes disappointed in these due to how rigid these socks usually are. I guess I have big feet (size 12), and sometimes it takes quite a bit of effort to get these off after a long day of wearing them. I have largely stopped trying to get them into my wardrobe too often, they they just sort of sit in my dresser taking up space. I honestly wish they’d do a different item in the future, but I guess somebody must love these. It seems like we are getting them VERY often nowadays.

Pin:

Say what you will about the Jericho Appreciation Society, but they definitely have a cool logo. This will look great in my pin collection, assuming I ever get around to getting a new wall-hanger sometime soon.

Sticker:

Can’t say much about a sticker but this one is cool, love me some Eddie Kingston!

Conclusion:

Overall, another solid box with some great shirts, a good autograph, a cool action figure and fun pin. Really my only issue are the socks, they come too often and are not very comfortable. We now have to wait TWO Months (well one month since I am doing this so late) for the next box to drop in April. We shall see if the extra time improves the quality of items as they have suggested, or if it will be more of the same. Stay tuned for more!
