A monthly subscription crate from Pro Wrestling Crate

As I write this, I am taking a step back from “doom watching” the news, which is dominated by war footage as the biggest war in Europe in decades in currently going down. I needed home happy thoughts and was excited to see the February Pro Wrestling Crate sitting on my doorstep today. Sometimes we all need a “gift” in our lives to brighten our day, and even though I pay for this crate, it feels like Christmas every month! This crate did not have any sort of theme to it, which means some of the items can be random, but that’s half the fun.
As with every crate, a bit of the proceeds go to a wrestling-related charity of some sort. This time around it was to help out the newly-minted AEW wrestler, Danhausen. On Halloween in 2021, right of the heels of the infamous ROH mass firing, he was wrestling at an indie show and broke his leg during a botched spot. While I can’t access the Gofundme now, I know it made well over the amount of money needed to keep his family taken care of with him stuck in the USA for a few months and cover medical costs. While not fully healed yet, Danhausen has been cursing many of the notorious menaces in AEW as we speak.
For those new to these subscription crates, Pro Wrestling Crate usually packs in anywhere from 8 to 10 items every month – these include a guarantee of a Micro Brawler Figurine, two T-shirts, a lapel pin, and an autographed 8 by 10 photo. Usually there’s a couple of small additional items in every box making this well worth the money spent. I would recommend, if you can swing it, purchasing A six month or yearly subscription as you get a pretty hefty discount doing so. In the past, I have subscribed to a number of different boxes, generally not liking most of them to be honest, but the guys over at Pro Wrestling Tees always do a fine job of picking great items making this my favorite subscription box of them all. You can also get a double dose of crate action with AEW’s All Elite Crate as well
Both T shirts are pretty solid this month. I’m not the biggest fan of The Nasty Boyz, but that is a quality shirt that is VERY representative of their entire thing without looking like a forced retro shirt. Hopefully Brian Knobbs is doing better, as his health took a huge nosedive recently, and I know his fans were worried. Hopefully the proceeds from this can help. The Hangman shirt is cool, but it’s a somewhat weird mashup. I’m sure both will look awesome no matter what.
This month’s autograph is one-half of the Impact Wrestling Tag Team Champions, The Good Brothers, Doc Gallows. I don’t believe I have one of him as of yet, so it’s cool to have, considering how entertaining he is. Maybe down the road we can also get a “Sex Ferguson” glossy?
Hmmmm, not sure how I feel about this one. I love me some Konnan, but this Micro Brawler is not really a great representation of him. I even looked online to see if he ever had a full beard as depicted and came up with his normal stubble across the board. I’m sure this is based on something, but most people won’t remember him like this.
Road Warriors Draw-string Gym Bag:
I always can use a bag like this, even though they usually don’t last very long. I had another one from here featuring the Gunn Club that eventually fell apart on me, but I got a good year or so of use, and I’m sure this will be no exception.
These pins with moving parts are always cool! Good to have one for Dusty Rhodes!
As you can tell by some of my recent reviews, I dig these little mini one-shot comics by Headlocked Comics quite a bit. Stay tuned for a review! This time a story by Jerry “The King” Lawler is featured.
As always, not much to say about a sticker other than “OWWWW HAVE MERCY!”
While this was a good crate I was somewhat disappointed with the Micro Brawler figure, with them usually being the big highlight of the whole box for me. The shirts are cool, and I always enjoy the comics, so overall it was a solid assortment of items. Next month appears to have some intriguing participants, so I can’t wait to see what that ends up being. Also, if you are like me and have been depressing yourself watching bad news, get out and get your mind off of the news, buy some wrestling swag, watch a pay-per-view – do anything you can to stay sane in this messed up world. Until next time, have a wonderful day folks!
