Here it is, the next chapter in the long arduous epic that is waiting for my 6 Star Trek Mission Crates to show up. I’ve spoken on the past few crate reviews about the situation – Loot Crate is having issues, and appears to be slightly unable to handle the sheer amount of crates they are currently selling. I should be holding 7 or so bi-monthly crates, but have only received three at this time – each one seemingly taking longer and longer to arrive.

A few weeks prior to receiving this, I learned that Loot Crate had shipped a big box of random stuff to people who had subscribed to a similar Firefly themed Crate – a fact that made me assume I was about to have a ton of useless stuff I did not want. I was prepared to call and demand a refund of the further items, but alas I did not have to as a pretty solid crate arrived. Was it worth the wait – probably not, but it looks like Loot Crate really tried to keep people happy.
The theme of this box was “Dark Frontier”, which was an episode of Star Trek Voyager.
“Members of the Voyager crew train on the holodeck for a raid on a Borg ship. Should they be successful, they will steal the Borg trans-warp coil in hopes of integrating the technology into Voyager’s systems. The Borg seem to be one step ahead when the Borg Queen communicates with Seven of Nine.”

Obligatory Star Trek Online Items

I wish this wasn’t just PC exclusive, as a PS4 player, these make me sad.
Captain Proton T shirt

Pretty fun Item, that I plan to rock at Comicon this year – for those unaware how this relates to Star Trek, check this out:
“Captain Proton was the protagonist of the holographic novel The Adventures of Captain Proton, a story created by USS Voyager crewmember Tom Paris. In the story, Proton’s sidekick is called Buster Kincaid, played by Harry Kim on a number of occasions, and his secretary is named Constance Goodheart. He fought against the “evil forces” of Doctor Chaotica and Queen Arachnia.”

Voyager Badge

I have slowly been decorating one of my bathrooms with Trek items, and these badges have been a big hit.

Seven of Nine Master Series Figure
I love these figures so much, this looks cool next to Commander Worf
Seven of Nine Beach Towel

Awesome addition to my Trek Bathroom as well, it’s a tad thin, but it does the job.
The Verdict: As I stated above, this was not worth the wait, but what I did get was pretty awesome! LOVE the shirt, figure and the towel and the badges are always solid. Of the three boxes I reviewed these past few days, this is easily the best. I just hope I don’t have to wait for July to review the next one.
[…] I absolutely do not trust the company that does Lootcrate anymore. After the debacle that was Star Trek Mission Crate (ran years behind), and my impression that the entire company is some sort of elaborate Ponzi […]
