An Upcoming live professional wrestling show

The weekend of April 11–13, 2025, is an insanely stacked one for independent professional wrestling in the Kansas City area, with multiple companies running shows over all three days. For this preview, I’m going to focus on Northern Missouri’s Tri States Wrestling, who will be running in St. Joseph, Missouri, on Friday, April 11, and in Jameson, Missouri, on Saturday, April 12. These will presumably be the last two shows before the company takes its big spring/summer break, typically returning at their yearly Mooresville benefit show. That said, it’s always possible another show could pop up in the meantime, and I’ll be sure to keep everyone posted if it does.
I chatted with Tri States Management and got the go-ahead to do a full sneak peak of both cards, even matches that have yet to be announced, to my knowledge. This preview is going to be a little different than usual, since it covers two shows, and that format will continue when I eventually get my review written. Unfortunately, I’ll only be able to attend the Friday show, so any further discussion of the Jameson event will most likely just include a list of results. As always, these could change at any time, so be prepared.

For tickets, their website found HERE, front row seats are going VERY fast!

April 11th – Spring Break Brawl

Jeremy Wyatt vs. Xac Abstract
Once again taking a break from his historic reign as one-half of the TSW Tag Team Champions alongside “Sexy” Wrex Amadeus, “The Monarch” Jeremy Wyatt will return to singles action in St. Joseph for the first time in a while. If there’s one thing I can say about Jeremy Wyatt when he sets foot in St. Joseph, it’s that the crowd absolutely hates him, and they’ll let him know exactly how they feel without hesitation. I’ve been there when I genuinely thought someone was about to take a swing at him, but thankfully, that hasn’t happened… yet. He’ll be facing Xac Abstract, who, as far as I can remember, I haven’t seen perform live before. He has popped up in a few Kansas City-area matches, including one of Fountain City Pro’s Guy’s Snacks Invitational bouts, as well as some out of area TSW shows, so he does have a bit of history in the region. This ought to be a solid match, and something that will get the crowd VERY heated.

Miranda Gordy and Dr. Isin vs Team Double Stuffed
“The Hypothetical Specialist” Dr. Isin has been rather conspicuously absent since his crushing loss to The Iceman in Chillicothe, Missouri – a defeat that ended his historic run as TSW Heavyweight Champion. Though he made a brief play for the King of Missouri title, it was clear his heart wasn’t in it. Humbled and off his game, Isin seemed to be adrift. But now, he’s back—and this time, he’s setting his sights on the tag team division. In a move that few could have predicted, Isin has recruited the unorthodox but undeniably tough choice of the “Bad Street Beauty” Miranda Gordy, daughter of the legendary Terry “Bam Bam” Gordy, as his partner. The two will square off against the newly formed, and equally unpredictable, duo of “The Realist” Calvin Aldridge and Tobias Storm, a team some have dubbed Team Double Stuffed.
On paper, this could go either way. Aldridge and Storm are both championship-caliber competitors with impressive track records in TSW. The twist? They’ve typically found themselves on opposite sides of the ring. Now teamed up, the big question is whether they can actually coexist as a unit – or if their fragile alliance will crack under pressure. If things do fall apart between them, it might be just the opportunity Isin needs to claw his way back to championship relevance.

The Iceman VS The Outlaw King of Missouri
This is the match we’ve all been waiting for, it has been building for months. The reign of the TSW King of Missouri, “The Outlaw King” Bennett James, has had one singular purpose: climb the ladder high enough to finally challenge The Iceman for the TSW Heavyweight Championship. Undefeated since last year, James has been on an absolute tear, wrestling multiple matches in a single night just to pad his win record and prove he’s ready. And now, at long last, he’s cashing it all in. Will the King add championship gold to his royal regalia?
If this match is being fought under “King’s Rules”, it spells serious trouble for The Iceman. Under those rules, Bennett James basically can’t be disqualified – meaning he can bend the rules, ignore rope breaks, and even cheat without consequence. The Iceman is walking into hostile territory with the deck stacked against him. But if there’s one thing we know about The Iceman, it’s that he doesn’t quit. He’s clawed his way back from the bottom after a brutal 2024 and has proven time and again that he has the grit, focus, and drive to take down anyone – even a King.
This match isn’t just a title bout – it’s going to define the future of TSW moving forward. Get ready. This one’s going to be absolutely insane.

Atlas Armstrong VS El Diablo
And who will face the winner of tonight’s title clash? That’s where our #1 Contender’s Match comes in – a high-stakes showdown with a golden ticket to Mayhem in Mooresville 4 on the line! Mooresville is a sore spot for Armstrong, the very place he claims his path to championship glory was stolen from him in a brutal gauntlet match that ultimately launched The Iceman to the top. He’s been loudly demanding another chance ever since, spinning conspiracy theories and stewing in frustration. Well, this is it – Armstrong’s moment to put up or shut up.
A win here could put him on a fast track to becoming the youngest TSW Heavyweight Champion in company history. But if he loses? Let’s just say we’re probably all going to hear about it for months. Standing in his way is none other than “The Aztec Demon from the Year 3000,” El Diablo – Kansas City’s most death-defying luchador. A former champion with a fearless streak and a flair for the dramatic, El Diablo is no stranger to high-risk, high-reward situations. And you know that TSW Heavyweight Championship would look right at home in his collection of Earthly accolades. This one’s got all the makings of a show-stealer – don’t blink, or you’ll miss something wild.

Derek Teter VS Sykawtic
“Nothing Neater” Derek Teter has been off the Tri States Wrestling radar for a few months now, but it looks like he’s making his return – and he’s got his sights set on making waves on this side of the state. Normally a mainstay in the Eastern and Central parts of Missouri, Teter is a massive powerhouse with a devastating chokeslam that has left more than a few opponents looking up at the lights. Teter’s been dominant wherever he goes, racking up title reigns that have helped define the local wrestling scene over the past few years. But this time, he’s up against someone who couldn’t be more different – Sykawtic, a wild card with unorthodox offense and an unpredictable in-ring style. Where Teter brings sheer size and brute force, Sykawtic brings speed, agility, and a flair for chaos. He’s the kind of opponent you can’t plan for, and that might just throw Teter off his game. This matchup is the classic clash of power vs. unpredictability – and it’s anyone’s guess who comes out on top.

April 12th – Jameson Class of ’26 Fundraiser

TSW Champion Vs Jayden Dominic Rose
A lot could change between now and April 12th, and right now we still don’t know who will be stepping into the ring with Jayden Dominic Rose – but no matter the opponent, the fans in Jameson are in for a real treat. For me, Jayden Dominic Rose has long been a standout in World League Wrestling, and back when I was attending their central Missouri shows more regularly, he was always a highlight. So seeing him make the jump into this area is a huge win for local fans. No matter who he faces, this match is shaping up to be well worth the price of admission. Here’s hoping Tri States Wrestling becomes a regular stop for Jayden Dominic Rose in the future as I am very sad I am missing this!

Wyatt and Amadeus VS The Main Attraction
This is the rematch we’ve all been waiting for – “The Monarch” Jeremy Wyatt and “Sexy” Wrex Amadeus vs. The Main Attraction (presumably James Moore and Calvin Aldridge once again). Back in January at St. Joseph Showdown, fans were elated when it looked like The Main Attraction had finally captured the TSW Tag Team Championships, only for Jeremy Wyatt to blatantly cheat, placing Wrex’s foot on the rope and making it appear that the pinfall needed to be reversed. Wrex Amadeus capitalized with his finisher, Bad Medicine, and that was that. The crowd was furious. Now, we finally have the chance to see The Main Attraction, however they line up this time – reclaim the glory that’s slipped through their fingers time and time again.

Dr. Isin VS Camaro Jackson
Last but certainly not least, we’ve got a banger of a match on deck, as NWA-WLW Heavyweight Champion and Fountain City Pro Heavyweight Champion, “The Grand Regent” Camaro Jackson, steps in to face former Tri States Wrestling Champion “The Hypothetical Specialist” Dr. Isin. If you’ve never seen Camaro Jackson in action, you’re in for a treat – this man is an absolute beast. They don’t call him “The Quadfather” for nothing – his legs look like they could squeeze the life out of most men. The guy casually tosses around opponents like Sam Stackhouse, and he’s been dominating the Missouri and Kansas wrestling scenes for months now. Dr. Isin, on the other hand, is a cunning mastermind. He’s not the type to let himself be embarrassed twice, especially after his recent title loss. If he’s looking to climb back into the title picture for a singles run, taking down Camaro Jackson would be one hell of a way to start.
