PREVIEW: Trailblazer Championship Wrestling – Hostile Territory (11-15-25)

When most companies are running whimsically-minded holiday shows like “Turkey Takedown” or “Season’s Beatings” right now, Trailblazer Championship Wrestling is closing out the year with “Hostile Territory,” a hard-hitting end-of-year blow-off built around two major championship matches, fresh faces, and all the chaotic fun the promotion delivers. Monster’s Brawl 4 set a high bar, but if any card is going to top it, this might be the one. The night’s biggest focus will be newly crowned Trailblazer Heavyweight Champion Luke Anthony proving that his title victory was no fluke, and we will be checking back in on people like Van “Bam” Winkle, who I’m sure has plenty to say after the events of October. Tickets still appear to be available, but Trailblazer shows fill up fast these days, so fans might want to secure their seats sooner rather than later.

Here are current ticket prices:

PREVIEW: Trailblazer Championship Wrestling – Hostile Territory (11-15-25)

In one of the biggest moments in the history of Trailblazer Championship Wrestling, “The Rocket” Luke Anthony overcame every ounce of adversity thrown at him by “Astonishing” Austin Mulitalo, and walked out as your new Trailblazer Championship Wrestling Heavyweight Champion. As confetti rained from the ceiling and Anthony was hoisted onto the shoulders of wrestlers like Bobby Joe Black, it truly signified the end of an era – the end of Mulitalo’s absolute reign of terror, a period where the Trailblazer Heavyweight Championship was often held hostage during long suspensions and used more as a weapon to maintain control than as a prize to defend. Being the fighting champion that he is, Anthony could easily coast for the rest of the year, rack up days on his record, and enjoy the spotlight. But he’s not built like that. Instead, he’s putting the belt on the line immediately at Hostile Territory against the number one contender, Rocco the Barbarian, and his horrendous manager, “The Midwest Mouth” Dekin Cane.

Rocco has spent the better part of a year steamrolling everyone in his path, picking up massive wins over the likes of “The Suplex Cyclone” Curt Gannon and “Mr. Battle Royale” Bobby Joe Black. He’s locked in with a new sense of determination and a greed that will only be satisfied by hoisting championship gold into the air, ending what could become the shortest reign in company history. Fans are absolutely going to be firmly behind Luke Anthony in this matchup, and you better believe Dekin Cane will do everything in his power to spoil the night for everyone in attendance if given even an inch. This main event is going to be an incredible way to finish out the show!

Next up, is a match between Johnnie Jo Black and “The Unnatural Disaster” Salum Gust. At Monsters Brawl 4, it seemed like Dekin Cane got the last laugh when his client, Rocco the Barbarian, scored a significant win over one of Trailblazer Championship Wrestling’s biggest rising stars, Bobby Joe Black. This was, of course, largely due to Dekin’s interference, the use of a wrench, and doing everything he could to keep Bobby Joe away from his tag partner and brother, Johnnie Jo Black. This time around, it will be Johnnie Jo stepping in against another one of Dekin’s clients and members of that crew. Salum won’t be easy to deal with, as he is coming off a big loss to his former on-again, off-again protégé, Miracle Mike James. Salum is looking to finish out 2025 with a winning record and likely sees Johnnie Jo Black as a bit of a cakewalk on his path to doing so.

Trailblazer fans know better. Johnnie Jo Black is one of the most courageous competitors in the company. Win or lose, he’s going to step into that ring and give every last ounce he has, and hopefully fans will see something wild happen. The Wranglers have a long history not only with Dekin Cane but with Salum Gust in particular, dating back to Bobby Joe’s 2023 feud with him that made my Top Feuds of 2023 list right here on this website. This is going to be one to watch, and all you Wrangler fans better get those cowbells ready because things are going to get wild. Johnnie Jo is going to need all the help he can get. It’s Johnnie Jo time!

This HUGE championship match between Trailblazer Championship Wrestling Women’s Champion “The Phoenix Princess” Aminah Belmont and St. Louis’s own “The Little Blue Dragon” Tootie Lynn is a long-awaited return bout that has been brewing for over two years. The last time these two squared off in singles competition was way back at Emerald City Showdown in the summer of 2023, when Belmont used Tootie’s own entrance prop – a pair of nunchucks – to steal a victory and kickstart the meteoric rise that has carried her to the top of the division today. Tootie also teamed with former WLW Women’s Champion Skylar Sparks the following year at Gold Rush, taking on Nixi XS and Aminah Belmont, and once again falling victim to Belmont’s audacious scheming and her uncanny ability to completely disregard any rule that has existed in professional wrestling for decades, if not centuries.

Here’s hoping Tootie Lynn brings an entire sack of ninja weapons with her this time, because I don’t think there’s anything the crowd wants more than to finally see Aminah Belmont get her long-overdue comeuppance and maybe learn what humility feels like. This is going to be a steep uphill climb, but if anyone is up to the challenge, it’s Tootie Lynn. I am extremely proud to announce that I will be the match sponsor for this bout at Trailblazer Championship Wrestling’s Hostile Territory, and I am insanely excited to help bring this match to all of you.

Do you remember when I talked about that 2024 tag team match featuring Nixi XS and Skylar Sparks? Well well well, look what we have here – the exact other half of that showdown once again duking it out for a spot on the ladder toward the Trailblazer Championship Wrestling Women’s Championship. Fresh off being named in the Pro Wrestling Illustrated Women’s 250 rankings, you better believe Nixi XS is riding high and is absolutely going to be insufferable at this show. It’s going to take a strong competitor just to stand across the ring from someone like her, but everyone knows Skylar Sparks has that fight in her and will be able to hold her own.

You might recall that in early 2025 at Trailblazer Championship Wrestling Rise, it was none other than Sparks who challenged Aminah Belmont to see who would be the inaugural champion. Getting herself back into that title picture has to be her top goal here, and a win against Nixi XS would push her right back up that ladder. Either way, it’s incredible to see so many high-quality women’s wrestling matches on Trailblazer Championship Wrestling cards. Fans of women’s wrestling are going to be in absolute heaven.

Miracle Mike James has had an incredible year so far, going on a yearlong undefeated winning streak and winning the hearts of pretty much every single Trailblazer fan in the process. A lot of that momentum can be traced back to his slow separation from his old crew of Dekin Cane, Salum Gust, and Rocco the Barbarian. While breaking away from them put a massive target on his back, it also opened the door for him to rise through the ranks faster than anyone expected. At this point, it feels like only a matter of time before a championship match becomes a reality for him. Fans would lose their minds if we eventually get a rematch between Mike James and Luke Anthony, especially after the blood, sweat, and tears that went into their No Disqualification match one year ago this Sunday. But let me not jump ahead too fast. What matters right now is what is happening at Hostile Territory.

Mike will be facing the debuting Jayden Dominic Rose, a man who has not been seen around Kansas City much lately, but who has put together strong runs in St. Louis for WLW and has appeared in Tri States Wrestling up in Northern Missouri. This matchup has the makings of an athletic showcase for both men, with Rose stepping in as the more technical wrestler while James brings his high flying arsenal to the fight. If there is a match on this card that could end up stealing the entire show, this is the one.

Also making himself known at Trailblazer Championship Wrestling Hostile Territory is “The Lion of Greece” Theseus, who will be in action in some capacity at the show. Everyone has been kept in the dark about exactly what to expect, but judging from his promo photo alone, Theseus has a tremendous look and seems poised to become a dominant addition to the Trailblazer roster.

There was no better joy in my life as a professional wrestling blogger this year than watching “The Voice of Trailblazer Championship Wrestling” Marcus Officer and “Yogamonster” Mike Sydal utterly demolish Van “Bam” Winkle and Kit Sackett. Sure, I doubt this will suddenly push Winkle into any real self-reflection or make him realize that he has been in the wrong since the day he showed up in the company more than two years ago, but maybe it will at least knock some of the cockiness off of him. Now he has to face one half of the duo that embarrassed him at Monster’s Brawl, and Sydal is absolutely heading into this with the energy of someone taking a victory lap. The question is whether Winkle enters the match like a wounded animal ready to lash out, or if we might finally be approaching the end of his run as Trailblazer’s resident sleazebag.

PREVIEW: Trailblazer Championship Wrestling – Hostile Territory (11-15-25)

Usually I’m happy when a long-absent competitor makes a return, but seeing “Madman” Max Sterling crawl out from under the ring at Monster’s Brawl 4, and attack a man he has plenty of history with, “The Monarch” Jeremy Wyatt, I think most fans would agree that he was not a sight for sore eyes. Sterling dominated Trailblazer throughout 2023, and had it not been for “The Grand Regent” Camaro Jackson injuring his chest, the entire landscape of 2025 might look very different. Now he appears to be back with a vengeance, ready to take out whatever grudge he carries on the company and the fans.

Sterling will be standing across from the newcomer King Sabre, who rushed the ring at Monster’s Brawl 4 to chase him off. I will not lie, I’m genuinely worried for King Sabre here, and I hope he understands what he is stepping into. Sterling is not someone to take lightly. Courage can only take you so far when you are dealing with a man who is fully willing to bend limbs in directions they were never meant to go, or worse, simply because he enjoys it. This could be a very rough night for King Sabre.
