A Four-Day series of professional Wrestling shows

Tri States Wrestling, a company out of North-Western Missouri that I cover on here, prides itself on being one of, if not THE only, US-Based professional wrestling promotions that does consecutive day touring. I honestly could not have picked a better time to start attending their shows than a few months before one of these massive four-day events, especially with names like WARHORSE and Simon Gotch on the bill. With the structure of this being somewhat looser, with matches on later days determined by outcomes on previous ones, I can’t really go over everything match-by-match as I normally do, but I will still go over what we do know, and what has been announced for every stop.
It is very possible I may see more information pop up on the TSW socials, so stay tuned. Be sure to check their links out below as well.

I obviously can’t miss work and drive halfway across the state to see all four of these shows, but I do plan to attend two of them – one in St. Joseph, MO, and one in Gladstone, MO. From what I can tell, they seem to be building up to some awesome stuff and I really can’t wait to see what TSW has in store.

“The Biggest Wrestler Ever” Franco Varga vs Simon Gotch for the TSW Championship!!
I have always been a HUGE fan of Simon Gotch. From his days wrestling for World League Wrestling under the regime of Harley Race, to his WWE NXT days as one of The Vaudevillains, to Major League Wrestling, and recent tours of Japan, he has always entertained me and ALWAYS has amazing matches. One of the biggest selling points for me was his inclusion in this tour, and I feel like fans will be in for a treat. Gotch will be facing off against none other than the Tri States Wrestling Champion himself, Franco Varga, a man that is no stranger to traveling the world and doing tours. Varga has competed everywhere from Japan to Australia, and has made a number of previous appearances in TSW, all in winning efforts. At Bulldog Brawl, he went toe-to-toe with The Iceman, winning the championship in the process. That was my first time seeing “The Biggest Wrestler Ever”, and needless to say, I was very impressed. This ought to be a solid match and a great kick-off for this tour.

The TSW Tag Titles Are on the Line:
I am not certain who will be facing the TSW Tag Team Champions, The Math Magician and The Fajita Taker, but whoever it may be better watch out. These guys accepted a challenge at Bulldog Brawl involving a three on two no DQ “street fight” and ended up easily retaining their belts. Both men feed from the hype of the crowd and channel it into unbelievable waves of tenacity and heart – you really can’t keep either one down. My appraisal might change if I saw who their opponents were, but as of now my money is on both masked men.

The Iceman VS Simon Gotch:
We know that the TSW Championship will be on the line going into this show, but the question is in what capacity? Will Iceman VS Gotch end up being for the strap, or will Varga manage to retain into night two? Either way, I have a feeling that The Iceman VS Simon Gotch is going to blow the roof off the Sliced Bread Innovation Center, especially since it’s in Iceman’s backyard and I’m sure the legions of his fans will be there to loudly cheer him on! It was hard to see him lose the championship after defending it so hard in Mooresville, but this could be his ticket right back up the card and into contendership yet again.

The TSW Tag Team Titles Will Also Be Up for Grabs!
I truthfully have no idea who will be in this bout as it could end up being the team challenging the champs in night one, but fans do have an idea of who it could be based on announcements alone. The Tonys are a tag team I am not familiar with, but a quick glance at some of their work reveals a team that could spell disaster for both The Math Magician and Fajita Taker. Tonē (pronounced like Tony, but spelled like Tonē) Bennett and Tony Leyenda have been tearing up the East Coast in companies like Atlantic All-Star Wrestling and FIGHTT PRO, and are coming in to try to make a name for themselves in the middle of the map. I’m always excited to see performers I’m not familiar with and this is no exception.

Franco Varga vs WARHORSE Jake Parnell:
If Varga manages to retain his Tri States Wrestling Championship into night three of the tour, this will be a championship match, and boy is it a big one! Varga will be facing off against none other than WARHORSE, a competitor that has swept the legions of internet wrestling fans off their feet and I know I will be ready to throw those horns up and headbang throughout the match! Usually residing in and around St. Louis, WARHOUSE has been coming to this side of the state a lot more often as of late, meaning he’s obviously trying to take over the entirety of Missouri wrestling. I, for one, welcome our new heavy metal overlord and want to make sure everyone knows that WARHORSE does indeed rule ass!

Wrex Amadeus challenges for the TSW Title
Wrex Amadeus amazed everyone at Bulldog Brawl, standing face-to-face with a wrestling force of nature such as “The Monarch” Jeremy Wyatt and nearly winning the US Highway Championship multiple times. I’ve spoken many times on this blog about how much I enjoy his work and how great it is seeing him really get to shine in 2023. Amadeus has a distinct advantage here seeing that he very well could be facing a war-weary Franco Varga after being beaten down by having three championship matches in a row over the span of three days. Who knows, he could be facing Gotch, The Iceman, or even WARHORSE, all of which would be amazing matches as well. This is easily Wrex’s biggest match ever, and I’m glad I’ll be there to see it.

Dr Isin vs El Diablo
I have seen a handful of El Diablo’s matches on YouTube via New Breed Wrestling or KCXW, but this will be my first time seeing him in person. He is a very impressive high-flyer, and I can’t wait to see what he can do facing off with perhaps the most famous graduate of The University of Guadalajara Online, none other than Dr. Gregory Isin. Dr. Isin is always fun to watch, and what he lacks in bedside manner he usually makes up for with sheer brutality. This should be an awesome match!

Simon Gotch vs “The Black Diamond” Luke Langley
It was not too long ago that “The Black Diamond” Luke Langley sat on top of the heap at Tri States Wrestling. He held the TSW Heavyweight Championship for quite a while until dropping it to The Iceman a few months ago. I can only imagine that he’s going to be gunning for a shot back into that contendership and what better way to achieve that goal than to take down a man that has wrestled some of the best in the world – Simon Gotch. Langley is, perhaps, pound-for-pound one of the most-impressive athletes in the area, and if he’s got his head in the game, Brain Busters are going to flying, and Gotch better watch out!
