A live professional wrestling event

Attention all wrestling fans! May 13th is shaping up to be an epic night for professional wrestling in and around the Greater Kansas City area, and one show you definitely don’t want to miss is Central States Wrestling – Aftershock. Set to take place at the National Guard Armory in Lenexa, Kansas, this show is already causing a buzz in the local wrestling scene, thanks to its announcement of an incredible dual main event. First up, we have “The Mile High Magnum” Dak Draper, taking on The 1 Called Manders, with Greg Jovi in his corner. And if that wasn’t enough, CSW also has “The Monarch” Jeremy Wyatt facing off against “2nd 2 None” Kenny Alfonso.
One of those main events would be well worth the ticket price alone, but with both on the card I will quote the legendary Don West (RIP) by saying “YOU GOTTA BE KIDDING ME!”

But that’s not all – there are plenty of other matches on the card that are sure to thrill fans of all ages. With a mix of old favorites and up-and-coming talent, Central States Wrestling – Aftershock is set to continue the trend of a production on par with many of the pay-per-views produced by “big guys”. They strive for production quality, and they have an insanely good camera staff, producers, and editor that always pulls off an incredible show. So if you’re a fan of professional wrestling, be sure to mark May 13th on your calendar and head on down to the National Guard Armory in Lenexa, Kansas for a night of non-stop action, drama, and excitement.

This is a run-down of all of the announced matches, and what one can expect going into this show. The show is packed to the gills with eight big matches, each showcasing just about every style of pro wrestling you can imagine.

Heather Reckless VS Shazza Mckenzie
Heather Reckless and Shazza McKenzie are two incredibly talented professional wrestlers who are set to face each other in what promises to be a great match. These two women are known for their impressive skills in the ring, and this match is sure to be a must-see event for any fan of women’s wrestling. Fans demanded CSW bring in some women, and boy have they ever! Fans will remember seeing Reckless standing tall against Tootie Lynn at Violence Begets Violence, and I’m sure she’s ready to continue the trend of racking wins up. She may have to look out, because Shazza Mckenzie recently relocated to St. Louis, Missouri from Australia. While she may be new to the area, Shazza is definitely not new to the wrestling world, with a storied career that includes appearances in promotions all over the globe. She is always looking for new challenges, and this match against Heather Reckless is sure to be one of her toughest yet.

Mike Outlaw and Camaro Jackson VS The Premier
It seems like things are not going well for Roscoe Leech and his clients, The Premier, as they appear to be at odds with one another. After their wins against Technical Difficulties, The Premier walked out on Roscoe and openly talked trash about him to fans at the gimmick tables. It’s clear that if Roscoe doesn’t deliver, in their eyes, their relationship could completely unravel. In their match against Mike Outlaw and Camaro Jackson, The Premier better be on their A-game if they hope to come out on top. Both Outlaw and Jackson have been granted title shots in the past for singles championships in CSW and have proven themselves to be formidable opponents in the tag division. That is, despite the interference of Greg Jovi. If The Premier doesn’t take this match seriously (and fans know how much they showboat), they could find themselves slipping down the rankings and potentially losing their spot in the competitive tag team scene. With so much on the line, it will be interesting to see if Roscoe can rally his team, keep them on the “straight and narrow”, and secure a win, or if this will be the breaking point.

Dan The Dad VS Scott Tyler VS “America’s Sweetheart” Ethan Price
It looks like Central States Wrestling fans are in for a real treat with an upcoming three-way match that promises to be a showstopper. Dan The Dad, Scott Tyler, and “America’s Sweetheart” Ethan Price will be facing off in what could be the most competitive three-way match in a long time. While all three wrestlers are incredibly talented, the real question on everyone’s mind is whether or not Scott Tyler can continue his incredible rise through the ranks of CSW. Despite being significantly smaller than most of his opponents, Tyler has been racking up win after win, and now he’s facing off against two other top contenders. When speaking of his opponents, Don’t let Dan the Dad’s goofy antics fool you – he’s one of the best athletes in CSW pound-for-pound, and he’s more than capable of dominating a match if he feels threatened. We saw this against Luke Langley, who had to resort to cheap tricks for a win, otherwise Dan had him “dead to rights”. Ethan Price, on the other hand, may be a bit more underhanded in his approach, but he’s proven himself to be a formidable opponent in the past. With so much talent on display, this three-way match promises to be awesome.

Anaya Howlett w/ Coach Frass VS Moonshine Mantell w/ Greg Jovi
This match between Anaya Howlett and Moonshine Mantell is definitely one to keep an eye on, especially after the previous no-contest bout between The Tribe and Miracle Violence Reborn. This time around, it’s a one-on-one match, with Howlett being accompanied by Coach Frass and Mantell being backed up by the cunning Greg Jovi. Howlett, a fan-favorite in Kansas City, will have to put in his best effort to take down Mantell, who is known for his toughness and explosive strength. Jovi, who is never shy about using any means necessary to secure a win, will surely have some tricks up his sleeve to give Mantell an edge. Howlett is no pushover, and with the support of the crowd behind him, he’s proven time and time again that she can come out on top in tough matches. With Coach Frass in his corner, he may have a few tricks of his own to outsmart Mantell and Jovi. This match is sure to be a wild one, and you can be sure to see something unexpected.

Hoodie Howlett w/ Coach Frass VS “The Atrocity” Krule
While Miracle Violence Reborn’s Derek Neal is not going to be in attendance, Hoodie Howlett has a different sort of match lined up for Central States Wrestling – Aftershock. It’s a clash of the titans in Central States Wrestling as two monsters collide in what promises to be an explosive battle! Hoodie Howlett, with a track record of decimating opponents, is facing off against the towering masked behemoth, “The Atrocity” Krule. This is a match that has fans on the edge of their seats, and I don’t think fans have seen a battle this explosive since King Kong VS Godzilla. Krule, standing at an imposing height of over 6 feet 10 inches, has already proven his mettle by defeating Davey Vega last month. He stands well over most men in the company including Hoodie, who makes up for the disparity through his mass and overall fighting prowess. Hoodie has an uncanny ability to draw strength from the energy of the crowd and pull off miraculous victories. This match could go either way, but one thing is for sure: it’s going to be an unforgettable encounter!

“The Landshark” Conan Lycan VS “The Black Diamond” Luke Langley
In the annals of Central States Wrestling history, few have ever enjoyed a year of dominance quite like Luke Langley has (so far) in 2023. “The Black Diamond” has been unstoppable since embarking on his “Revenge Tour,” obliterating anyone who stands in his way, including the likes of “The Haymaker” Jamison Holley, Dan the Dad, and most recently, Mike Outlaw. But while the Central States Wrestling Champion, “The Mile High Magnum” Dak Draper (his presumed next target), is preoccupied with his own challengers, Langley refuses to rest on his laurels. Instead, he’s set his sights on “The Landshark” Conan Lycan, who may have faltered in his debut match but is far from a pushover. However, Langley is no ordinary wrestler; he’s a force of nature, a bull that has seen red. As he prepares to face off against Lycan at Aftershock, the question on everyone’s mind is not whether Langley will win, but how quickly and decisively he will add yet another victory to his already impressive streak.

“The Monarch” Jeremy Wyatt VS “2nd 2 None” Kenny Alfonso
“The Monarch” Jeremy Wyatt is about to step into the ring with the rising star “2nd 2 None” Kenny Alfonso, and it’s sure to be a match of the year contender. Wyatt is renowned for his technical wizardry and unparalleled ring savvy, while Alfonso brings explosive power and high-flying acrobatics to the table. Don’t underestimate the wiles of “The Monarch”. With the DWF Championship firmly in his grasp since 2021, Wyatt has cemented himself as one of the toughest and most cunning wrestlers in the game. He’ll do whatever it takes to keep his title, and has the scars to prove it. Wyatt barely survived a brutal no holds barred match against Ace Steel last month, and you can bet he’s still feeling the effects of being tossed around like a ragdoll amidst a sea of chairs, trash cans, and barbed wire. Despite the odds stacked against him, Alfonso has a chance to pull off a major upset and topple the reigning champ. The question is, can he overcome Wyatt’s ring intelligence and ruthless tactics? The stage is set for a hell of a fight.

“The Mile High Magnum” Dak Draper, VS The 1 Called Manders, with Greg Jovi
“Mile High Magnum” Dak Draper and Major League Wrestling’s The 1 Called Manders are about to tear the roof right off of that armory as they go head-to-head for the Central States Wrestling Championship. 1 called Manders is a force to be reckoned with, a rugged and unyielding cowboy who can hold his own against anyone in the ring. With his trusted ally Greg Jovi in his corner, he will stop at nothing to claim the coveted title from the returning Draper, who has been making headlines across the wrestling world with his recent appearances on Ring of Honor and the National Wrestling Alliance. This is no ordinary match, but a “Hoss fight” of epic proportions that promises to be every bit as brutal as it is awesome. As Dak Draper would say: “SHAME ON YOU!” if you miss this show.
