A new quarterly curated box from AEW

REVIEW: AEW – All Elite Crate Spoilers – October 2022

For better or worse, what an eventful past few months it has been in AEW! Hot on the heels of the 2022 iteration of the All Out pay-per-view, the landscape has definitely changed in the company. CM Punk, The Elite, and possibly Andrade have all been suspended due to backstage nonsense. MJF finally returned to a huge hero’s welcome despite being a despicable heel. The Acclaimed have managed to make “Scissor Me Daddy Ass!” a slogan printed on T-Shirts and Chris Jericho has become the Ring of Honor World Champion. The shows have been great these past few weeks, and we have the 2022 Full Gear show incoming, which this box is dedicated to. Scroll down and enjoy my spoilers for this month’s AEW All Elite Crate, and see if it’s something you might want in your mailbox every three months.

For those new to these subscription crates, both All Elite Crate and Pro Wrestling Crate usually pack in anywhere from 8 to 10 items every month – these include a guarantee of a Micro Brawler Figurine, two T-shirts, a lapel pin, and an autographed 8 by 10 photo. Usually there’s a couple of small additional items in every box making this well worth the money spent. I would recommend, if you can swing it, purchasing a yearly subscription as you get a pretty hefty discount doing so. In the past, I have subscribed to a number of different boxes, generally not liking most of them to be honest, but the guys over at Pro Wrestling Tees always do a fine job of picking great items making these my favorite subscription boxes of them all.

Spoiler Card:

Five boxes down and STILL no front row tickets!! Perhaps it will happen one day…

Shirts:

I’m not a huge fan of this Young Bucks shirt, to be very honest, but this new Samoa Joe shirt is awesome!

Hook Chip Clip:

For the longest time Hook’s full gimmick was that he stood around smoldering and eating potato chips, so a “chip clip” is very on target.

Sammy Guevara Micro Brawler w/ Customization Pen:

This is a pretty cool idea – Sammy Guevara is known to have promos during the show’s “picture in picture” during commercial breaks, so having a customizable sign and washable markers is a pretty cool idea.

Abadon autograph:

Just in time for spooky season, everyone’s favorite living dead girl is here with a sweet autograph.

JAS Patch:

I keep intending to make a wrestling-related patch vest for me to wear at shows in a similar manner to vests worn at heavy metal shows. Through these crates, I now have quite a few, and would easily be able to put one together. Sadly, my general laziness gets in the way every time. Maybe sometime down the road I will start of that and show it off to everyone on here! I bring this up because this Jericho Appreciation Society patch is awesome, and will look great on my future hypothetical vest!

Darby Allin Trick or Treat Bag:

I’m not sure I need another tote bag, and I don’t plan to Trick or Treat, but this design is awesome!

FTR lapel Pin:

Man, what a year FTR has had. It wasn’t too long ago when annoying internet wrestling commentators were writing them off as a big goof by Tony Khan, and now they are the absolute gods of tag-team wrestling. holding more gold than Fort Knox and more stars than the Hollywood Walk of Fame, having a pin of them is cool.

Poster:

Yet another classic match poster, this time being the main event from last year’s Full Gear where Hangman Page finally won the AEW World Heavyweight Title.

Conclusion:

While Pro Wrestling Crate has had a few “off months” I have yet to feel that way with one of these AEW All Elite Crates so far. I think simply by virtue of being quarterly, the company has more time to ensure great items each quarter, and this quarter was no slouch in that department. I love autographs and Abadon, so seeing that in the box was cool, and I enjoy that Samoa Joe shirt a lot. Counting the marker, this was a ten item box, which is pretty good – I prefer stuff like DVDs and the like, but most of the items are all things I will use nonetheless. Next time will be the Revolution box, which should be out sometime in January or so. Overall, not as good as last quarter, but still a solid box and well worth the price.
