Aside from it being 100 degrees where I am for a few days this week, Fall is finally here! Yeah, the entire world seems to be breaking out into numerous different wars, and nobody can afford to live anymore, but I have this box of curated wrestling goodies from Pro Wrestling Crate to give me that sweet but fleeting dopamine bump my brain desires. The October crate is usually my favorite every year, so this measly September crate has a lot to live up to, let’s see how it stands up!

As with all of these, a part of the proceeds are donated to charity, this time it’s the Cooper Roberts family fundraiser, as with last month these are people affected by the July 4th Highland Park Shooting.

The friends of the Roberts family have created this fundraiser. Keely Roberts and her 8-year-old son, Cooper, were significantly impacted by the tragic events of this past Monday. Both were shot while attending the 4th of July parade in Highland Park. Cooper’s spinal cord was severed. After undergoing many surgeries, he has been upgraded to serious condition. However, the doctors have determined that he will be paralyzed from the waist down. He has been in and out of consciousness, but he needs to be continuously sedated due to the severe pain. Cooper continues to fight as hard as he can. We know their medical bills will be significant, as will the treatments, therapy, and all of the equipment, devices and adaptations to their home. Please continue to keep the Roberts family in your thoughts and prayers. Any help you can provide is deeply appreciated.”

For those new to these subscription crates, Pro Wrestling Crate usually packs in anywhere from 8 to 10 items every month – these include a guarantee of a Micro Brawler Figurine, two T-shirts, a lapel pin, and an autographed 8 by 10 photo. Usually there’s a couple of small additional items in every box making this well worth the money spent. I would recommend, if you can swing it, purchasing A six month or yearly subscription as you get a pretty hefty discount doing so. In the past, I have subscribed to a number of different boxes, generally not liking most of them to be honest, but the guys over at Pro Wrestling Tees always do a fine job of picking great items making this my favorite subscription box of them all. You can also get a double dose of crate action with AEW’s All Elite Crate as well.

Spoiler Card:

Shirts:

While I really don’t watch much WWE anymore, this Candice Lerae shirt has a cool look that I appreciate, and the retro Kenny Omega shirt is pretty cool. These are definitely ones that will enter my shirt rotation.

Ad For Whatnot:

I know every wrestler is SUPER into whatnot, but I’ve never used it because I’m not the biggest fan of streamed online auctions. I know eBay has been angering a lot of sellers due to more and more fees, so it’s cool to see people get a solid competitor in place.

Autograph:

Solid autograph choice this month from an vastly underrated talent.

Micro Brawler:

WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO! What a way to celebrate what was HOPEFULLY Flair’s last match with a cool figure of him. I know they did a release of like six different variations of this, that I eventually sat out, so having one Afterall is cool.

DVD:

NICE! This looks to be a great set comprising some of ROH’s biggest matches from 2019. I wasn’t watching them too much then, so this will actually be a great way for me to look back without churning through endless TV episodes and PPVs for no reason.

Pin:

I have tons of these lapel pins, and they almost always are pretty solid. My only issue is that I need to find another thing to hang these on, because getting a box every month for years now has amassed me quite the collection!

Sticker:

Not much to say about a sticker, but this is a cool design.

Bottle Opener:

I’m sure I’ll use this at some point – kind of a random item, but good to see Greg getting some cash from this!

Conclusion:

After two months that I felt were somewhat underwhelming, this crate delivered. Not only does it have the normal amount of items, but a DVD ALWAYS does well to make me excited. Pretty much every item is solid, and perhaps one of the better assortments in a while. I saw some people saying they would be dropping the box after the past few, and I hope this brings them back – now PWC needs to keep the momentum running!
