These last few months have been insane for pro wrestling fans. Not only are we blessed will a TON of big pay-per-views and “premium events” including Ric Flair’s Last Match, Forbidden Door, Ring of Honor and more, news has been huge including all of the drama with Vince McMahon, AEW’s (hopefully) storyline with MJF, and more. So far, I haven’t burned myself out as bad as I did around WrestleMania weekend trying to watch a ton of shows, but I have to be careful! Watching shows or not, this has also been a huge month for wrestling subscription boxes for me – I joked that I would have three this month after I kept perpetually falling behind on getting these reviewed quickly. You will be happy to know that I am typing this the VERY DAY I received the box, so this should be timely. Without more jibba-jabba, this is a look at what came out of this month’s Pro Wrestling Crate with a bit of commentary thrown in. If you like this, I’d recommend other box reviews like THESE.

As with all of these, a part of the proceeds are donated to charity, this time they did not go for a wrestling-related charity, but more of a much-needed Constitutional crisis sort of charity with The Chicago Abortion Fund. I won’t go into politics on this blog, so take that elsewhere if me mentioning this makes you upset.

For those new to these subscription crates, Pro Wrestling Crate usually packs in anywhere from 8 to 10 items every month – these include a guarantee of a Micro Brawler Figurine, two T-shirts, a lapel pin, and an autographed 8 by 10 photo. Usually there’s a couple of small additional items in every box making this well worth the money spent. I would recommend, if you can swing it, purchasing A six month or yearly subscription as you get a pretty hefty discount doing so. In the past, I have subscribed to a number of different boxes, generally not liking most of them to be honest, but the guys over at Pro Wrestling Tees always do a fine job of picking great items making this my favorite subscription box of them all. You can also get a double dose of crate action with AEW’s All Elite Crate as well.

Spoiler Card:

Shirts:

It’s a punk rock theme in the shirt department, as both are big advocates for that particular sub-culture and music style. Hey, another CM Punk shirt for my collection, after the last AEW Crate, people are going to assume I’m a huge fan of his pretty soon. I mean, I like Punk, so it works. Good to also see a Ruby Soho shirt here, love her style and can’t wait to see her get some prominent feuds again before too long. This design is actually really good, and I’m amazed this isn’t a shirt being sold in the main AEW shop.

Autograph:

It’s always a pleasure to get something from an Attitude Era legend, and who honestly can forget the hijinks of 2 Cool, which was honestly popular simply because of Scotty 2 Hotty doing the W-O-R-M. I’m glad to see him wrestling for GCW occasionally as of late, dude still has it!

Micro Brawler:

This is 100% exactly what I wanted from this crate! I knew I was likely about to get a figure of Scotty 2 Hotty (who is still cool), but my heart was set on getting an Awesome Kong. I’ve mentioned before that Kong is not only one of my top five female wrestlers of all time, but she is easily in my top five for ALL wrestlers. Fingers crossed I can get a larger figure of her soon as well, but for now, this will work!

Comic Book:

This time we have a Tales from the Road comic as written by Mike Kingston and Sean Waltman. These are always fun, and I love reading them.

Pin:

I think “you better recognize” how cool this pin is this month. This is one of those that move around, and having D-Lo Brown’s trademark shaking head as a gimmick is hilarious.

Patch:

I keep intending to make a wrestling-related patch vest for me to wear at shows in a similar manner to vests worn at heavy metal shows. Through these crates, I now have quite a few, and would easily be able to put one together. Sadly, my general laziness gets in the way every time. Maybe sometime down the road I will start of that and show it off to everyone on here! I bring this up because this Evil Uno patch is awesome, and will look great on my future hypothetical vest!

Sticker:

Not much to say about a sticker, but X-Pac is a solid choice. Considering this particular X-Pac Brawler is VERY hard to get, the image is fun.

Conclusion:

This crate was far better than the last two crates almost entirely because I like the T-Shirts more. I’m a simple man, and if I enjoy the shirts in this box, and that’s a large portion of the contents – I’m generally happy. Throw in some lousy shirts, and there better be a hell of an autograph or something lol. Overall, despite not being a themed box, this was well put together and contained items from just about every wrestling era of the last few decades. Great job guys! Next month has the potential for some great stuff, especially with Harley Race, FTR, Owen Hart and more.
