REVIEW: All Elite Crate – July 2022

A new quarterly curated box from AEW

REVIEW: All Elite Crate – July 2022

If you thought one wrestling crate box review was going to be a lot this month, get ready for three in a row! In addition to my typical review of Pro Wrestling Crate, I am currently the proud recipient of yet another edition of AEW All Elite Crate, this time commemorating the upcoming pay-per-view All Out 2022. I was behind on getting my review for June’s PWC up, so these will likely seem pretty rapid-fire. If I’m not mistaken, that actual All Out pay-per-view is some time from now, but if I recall correctly the previous crate did come in some six weeks prior to the actual event. It’s a shame they don’t wait a little bit more to make it actually happen in the same month as the show, but considering the amount of injuries and such that go on it would be almost impossible to make anything that correlates with the actual plans for the pay-per-view even if Tony Khan did something like oversee these himself.

For those new to these subscription crates, both All Elite Crate and Pro Wrestling Crate usually pack in anywhere from 8 to 10 items every month – these include a guarantee of a Micro Brawler Figurine, two T-shirts, a lapel pin, and an autographed 8 by 10 photo. Usually there’s a couple of small additional items in every box making this well worth the money spent. I would recommend, if you can swing it, purchasing a yearly subscription as you get a pretty hefty discount doing so. In the past, I have subscribed to a number of different boxes, generally not liking most of them to be honest, but the guys over at Pro Wrestling Tees always do a fine job of picking great items making these my favorite subscription boxes of them all.

Spoiler Card:

Three boxes down and STILL no front row tickets!! Perhaps it will happen one day…

Shirts:

I was honestly disappointed with the shirts that came in the June 2022 Pro Wrestling Crate, so I am really glad that these selections are far far better. I’m always down for both a good Britt Baker DMD shirt as well as a solid CM Punk shirt. The two shirts are completely different styles when it comes to the art design, but as you can see both do a good job of encapsulating what makes the particular wrestler who they are. I will definitely enjoy wearing these a lot.

The Acclaimed earbuds with case/phone stand:

I’m not sure I will actually use this, but it’s a nifty idea, and if I don’t have use for it maybe someone else will. If anything I’m sure my track record of blowing through headphones will result in me grabbing these at some point.

Evil Uno Micro Brawler:

The Dark Order is one of my favorite things in AEW, so seeing this made me smile. It’s been sad seeing so many of the members leave the company, but here’s hoping Uno is one that stays, and I really hope he and Preston Vance get tag team gold soon.

Wardlow autograph:

Hot off the heels of his monumental TNT Title win this past week on AEW Dynamite, Wardlow is definitely a autograph I’m excited to obtain!

Santana and Ortiz Sticker:

Not much to say about a sticker, but cool to have.

Best of AEW Dark DVD Vol 2:

This was something I always wanted from the WWE Slam Crate back when I got those, so I’m glad AEW has decided to pack an exclusive DVD into the mix! Yeah, AEW Dark is free on YouTube, but having a compilation like this is awesome to have and well worth the cost of the box. Maybe this will be expanded into Dynamite and Rampage as the series goes? This is the second one of these so far, and it really has a solid selection of matches.

Malakai Black combo lapel Pin:

I think this is one of the cooler lapel pins I have now, the base is a picture of Malakai Black with a magnetic addition of his ring mask. you can separate them or stack them up for the full effect!

Poster:

Yet another classic match poster, this time being the very first AEW World Title Match at the first AEW All Out show.

Keychain:

Jade Cargill is pretty awesome, so I’m digging this little chibi keychain!

Conclusion:

This box was really good! I always love the Micro Brawlers and the shirts but seeing ANOTHER DVD in the box this time was the icing on the cake. Also, I collect autographs and these are ALWAYS good pulls. So far this has been worth it, and after a full year of this, if I’m not mistaken, I plan to continue my subscription. Items of the month were the DVD and the shirts, but none of these items were meaningless or bad. Next up should be a Full Gear box sometime around Halloween, so stay tuned for that!
