With the weather starting to be excruciatingly hot in my area, I’m hoping my June Pro Wrestling Crate by Pro Wrestling Tees comes with a trip to the Southern Hemisphere or something because hoo-boy it’s been bad! I guess I can sit in my room in the air-conditioned house and at least enjoy a box of wrestling goodies delivered directly to my door once again. This box continues the trend of no real “theme” that some of the boxes have which I’m never sure if good or bad, it just is what it is I suppose. Without further ado, here’s the June crate just in time for the middle of July…. whoops! Stay tuned for two more boxes this month as the newest AEW All Elite Crate and the July Pro Wrestling Crate are out pretty soon!

As with every one of these boxes, some of the proceeds go to a charity, usually wrestling-related. This month it was one related to Atomic Cotton, a popular T-shirt Website:

“Hi everyone, most of you are aware, but if you are not, Erica had Spine Cervical Fusion Anterior surgery on March 1.  Basically they went in and scooped out her disks and screwed in a plate fusing her vertebrae together.  She is doing well in her recovery.  It is a slow painful progress but she is moving forward nonetheless.  She is going to be down and out for a solid month or so at work.  This creates some challenges for us.  To do any new work, we need her to be able to create the artwork and do all of the prepress work involved in her part.  Then it all comes to me and I print.  So for the next few weeks while we are a little down on custom work we need to figure out how to pay the bills.  I am currently working the Atomic Cotton website (head over to atomiccotton.com to grab any of our rad designs), I am also driving Uber eats to make ends meet.  So now, I humbly ask you all again as you did with me, to help us out in our time of need.  Any little bit helps even a dollar.  If you can’t help financially, please think about sharing this with your friends.  If you don’t like doing the GoFundMe thing, then maybe go grab a shirt or two off the website.  Thank you all for your help!  I will post updates as she gets better and better.  We don’t like having to put this out there like this, but we do need a little help from our friends.  We love you all!  Thank you for your support!!!”

For those new to these subscription crates, Pro Wrestling Crate usually packs in anywhere from 8 to 10 items every month – these include a guarantee of a Micro Brawler Figurine, two T-shirts, a lapel pin, and an autographed 8 by 10 photo. Usually there’s a couple of small additional items in every box making this well worth the money spent. I would recommend, if you can swing it, purchasing A six month or yearly subscription as you get a pretty hefty discount doing so. In the past, I have subscribed to a number of different boxes, generally not liking most of them to be honest, but the guys over at Pro Wrestling Tees always do a fine job of picking great items making this my favorite subscription box of them all. You can also get a double dose of crate action with AEW’s All Elite Crate as well.

Spoiler Card:

Shirts:

Hmmm….this is one of the few times where I’m not super sold on the shirts, which is generally the exact opposite of how I normally feel. I’m always down for a Best Friends shirt, and this one if denitely not as “in your face” as others, but I already have a couple of shirts with this Norman Rockwell Edward Hopper (see below) picture as the basis, and it’s somewhat bland. The Titan vs Giant shirt is a cool idea, but it will be annoying to explain to people that it’s a fantasy booking shirt. Not the worst combo ever, but not the best.

EDIT: Send in by a reader, a correction:

“That’s an Edward Hopper homage on the Best Friends t-shirt, not Norman Rockwell. The Hopper piece in question was a 1942 painting called Nighthawks, hence the title “Nighthawks Pt. 2.””

Autograph:

This month’s autograph is Kris Statlander! While she isn’t “booping people on the nose” anymore, she has become a huge powerhouse and hopefully the next TBS Champion!

Micro Brawler:

One Man Gang is one of the guys that I basically missed “back in the day” since I wasn’t really watching WWF when he was doing his thing. I have seen a few matches and he was quite a beast, glad to have a figure of him.

Booker T Comic Book:

I always enjoy these comic books put in from Headlocked Comics, and I’m sure this will be no exception.

Pin:

Yet another solid lapel pin with one of the hardest working guys in the sport immortalized on it. Kingston is amazing, and I’m glad to have this!

Keychain:

I already have this as a figure, so I’m not sure I really need this, but in their defense that was years ago, and not everyone has one of these.

Sticker:

Not much to say about a sticker, but Jay White is a solid choice.

Conclusion:

This crate is another adequate, but not too exciting crate from these guys, but I can’t help but feel a tad disappointed as the shirts were not as strong as usual. The autograph and the comic were probably my items of the month, hopefully with a review coming soon for the comic. Next month looks to be interesting in terms of who is signed on – I really hope I can get a Kong shirt and perhaps a Ruby or Scotty 2 Hotty Brawler! See you all soon for more of these.

  1. That’s an Edward Hopper homage on the Best Friends t-shirt, not Norman Rockwell. The Hopper piece in question was a 1942 painting called Nighthawks, hence the title “Nighthawks Pt. 2.” I hope this helps anyone else looking to find out about the Best Friends shirt from this crate.
